Other Fundraising

The St. John’s PTL raises approximately $30,000 annually in a variety of special fund-raising programs. This money is then spent to enhance a variety of special school programs. The goal is the funds will enhance the school unlike the Annual Fund dollars which are essential to the school’s operations. In recent years fundraisers have included; a gourmet foods sale, box top collection, a Hoe Down, the Annual Fun Run/Walk, a Christmas candy sale, the Crab Feed, a 4th of July Fireworks Booth. These fund raisers not only allow the PTL to provide for the school they engage the entire school community and strengthen the social life of the school

In additional to the PTL fundraiser the school encourages families to buy SCRIP gift cards for regular family purchases. SCRIP returns a percentage to the school. The program is run through the office with the assistance of parent volunteers
